Plattsburgh City Beach Opens with a 5k for Recovery!
Walk/Run to raise funds for the Champlain Valley Family Center Youth Programs

Join the Champlain Valley Family Center and help support youth prevention programming in Clinton County, NY. This inaugural 5k Walk/Run at the Plattsburgh City Beach raises funds for Champlain Valley Family Center Youth programming. Drug abuse, alcohol abuse and addiction can tear apart families, careers and friendships. The trained staff at the Champlain Valley Family Center (CVFC) helps individuals and their families heal these wounds and move "A Step Forward."

Registration is $20 online prior to the event and $25 on-site on race day. Registration includes a t-shirt, race packet and bib number (T-shirt sizes are guaranteed only for those who register before June 4).

Awards will be given to the top three in each of the following categories: 0 - 19, 20 - 29, 30 - 39, 40 - 49, 50 +

A 1 mile kids fun run will start at 8:30am and the 5k Run/Walk will start at 9:15am. Registration for the kids fun run will be on race day only ($5 registration fee and a parent must be present). All runners will receive a medal for participating.

CVFC is a community-based non-profit agency, licensed through the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services to provide substance abuse treatment services for residents of Clinton County, NY. CVFC also provides education, prevention and specialized youth programs to prevent and/or minimize damage caused by alcoholism and substance abuse.
